The colder temperatures are settling in Iowa and parents are planning for indoor activities. One of our favorite places to run, play and burn of energy during the Winter months is Imagination Playschool at the Pioneer Columbus Community Center.

Imagination Playschool

Beginning in November through March, the Imagination Playschool will be open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Working parents! Special evening Imagination Playschool will be held every third Friday until 7:30 p.m.

  • November 17
  • December 15*
  • January 19
  • February 16
  • March 16

*This date may not happen if Jungle Bell Toys for Tots needs to have a snow day. Originally scheduled for December 14.

This activity allows children 7 years and under to make friends, run, climb and play on all kinds of equipment including a climbing tower, imagination playground, big wheels, play houses, tumbling mats and gymnastics. This is also a great place for parents and caretakers to meet others. On Friday only, a bounce house will be available to play on.

Admission into Imagination Playschool is $1.50.

The address of Pioneer Columbus Community Center is 2100 SE 5th Street, Des Moines.
