The new family entertainment venue has opened in the Des Moines Area and is loaded with fun! Spare Time Entertainment is located in West Des Moines near Jordan Creek Town Center and is ready for all your entertainment needs. No matter your age there is something for everyone. Our family had a chance to experience all the fun that Spare Time Des Moines has to offer and the kids have not stopped talking about it!
Arcade Games
If you are a child (or adult) and love to play arcade games, Spare Time Des Moines is the place to do that! You will find all of your classics such as skee ball and Space Invaders to a ton of virtual reality options. My son has been really interested in virtual reality games and Spare Time had tons of options to give it a try. This huge game zone arcade will keep you busy for hours! To make things simple everything is kept track on a reloadable game card. You can add money and it keeps track of your tickets. When you are done playing, head to the Win Zone and claim all your prizes.
Bowling Alley
We had such a great time bowling at Spare Time Des Moines. There are tons of lanes, fun options to choose from when setting up your games, and it is extremely kid-friendly. They offer bumpers and kids’ bowling ramps so children can enjoy the experience too! There are large televisions above each lane that were playing music videos, or sports games. If you have something specific you would like on, just ask the staff!
Near the bowling area is a concession stand where you can grab snacks, cocktails, and certain bar food. Lanes fill up quickly on weekends, call ahead and check prices and shoe rental on their website.
Escape Rooms
Have you ever done an Escape Room before? Spare Time Des Moines’ escape rooms are pretty epic! They are geared towards adults, not young children. Grab some couples and make it a fun date night. Grab dinner and drinks from their on-site restaurant and bar, then challenge yourself to a fun Escape Room.
Laser Tag
If you are a fan of laser tag, you will not want to miss this epic laser tag arena at Spare Time Des Moines. The laser tag arena is filled with music, fog, and LED lighting for the best experience. Each experience is 15 minutes in length and costs $8 per person.
Food and Drink
There are a ton of options for food and drink. They offer a full-service restaurant and bar, pizzas, and flatbreads (if you have a large group The Goliath pizza is a must!), and do not miss dessert! Kids and adults will love the Share Time dessert loaded with ice cream and other goodies.
