Stonegate Park in Clive, Iowa
Stonegate Park has Clive’s newest playground. The playground’s main structure has a multi-level tower with a unique climbing structure attached. My kids loved the different levels of the tower. The square angles instantly make kids feel like this is their fort. As a parent, I loved that you could keep your eyes on your kids through the structure’s panels. The roped climbing structure welcomes kids to climb on but also hang out on. It was fun watching my kids figure out all the different ways to climb up.
Stonegate Park has one standard swing and one infant bucket swing. This park sports an adventure raft swing which is unique to the metro. There are a couple of accessible features on the ground level of the main structure.
Beyond the playground, Stonegate Park has a three-hole mini golf course. One of my favorite things is to play “anything but a golf club” with my kids there. They find what they can to use from the van to play the three holes with!

Located Near Stonegate Park
When my kids want to go to a second park, we often find ourselves heading to Alice Nizzi Park aka the Spaghetti and Meatball Park, 695 NE Dellwood Dr in Waukee, just a five-minute drive away.
We also love going to Home Sweet Cone Ice Cream, 1188 SE University Dr in Waukee, which is about a five-minute drive away. We love buying a pint of ice cream there for home!
