If you are someone that still wants to do the chopping and cooking then Dinner Delights is for you. Every Monday the menu goes live for the week. You can order individual meals or family meals. They sometimes have gluten-free or vegetarian/vegan options. Pick-up is on Tuesdays (the week after you have ordered) and is in Beaverdale. You can also enjoy grab-and-go options that are available in-store. With Dinner Delights you can host a freezer party. They take care of all the prep work and you and your friends assemble the meals. They also offer catering services.

Dinner Dispatch

Dinner Dispatch does all the prep work for you! All you have to do is dump the ingredients together and cook. This is a great option if you want to feel like you are cooking a homemade meal, but don’t want to do all the cutting and measuring. Meals can be delivered straight to your door on Monday or you can grab meals anytime from their kitchen located in Windsor Heights. Select meals from their fresh or frozen menu. They have new recipes each week for you to choose from.

Expedition Wellness

Expedition Wellness Meals are a great option if you are counting macros. They offer family-style options and single-meal options. They take pride in making sure their nutrition labels are accurate for anyone who may be keeping track of their nutrition. This is a great option and they are delivered directly to your doorstep every Sunday.

Fresh Fit Meals has two locations, Urbandale and Ankeny. You can subscribe to their weekly meal plan and get perks such as a free consultation with a registered dietitian, free body assessment, weekly accountability and coaching, customized macro and calorie plan based on your needs, and 5 meals a day provided to you. They deliver if you live in the Des Moines Metro and ship if you live outside of Des Moines but in Iowa. You can also go to the store and choose from their grab-n-go selection or enjoy a smoothie.  With their food, you have no prep work, just heat it and eat it.

The Grateful Chef

At The Grateful Chef, Chef Brandy creates meals that are inventive, bursting with flavor, and always made from fresh, nutritious whole food ingredients that are procured from the best sources possible. Every Monday the menu comes out for the week. You can pre-order online and pick it up on Thursday or Friday. You can also shop in-store from a selection of grab-and-go items.  They chop and cook so all you have to do is reheat.

Meaningful Meals by Chef Laura

Meaningful Meals By Chef Laura is a personal chef service. You first begin with a consultation where Laura will help you pick the service that works best for you. Then she will make a meal plan and show it to you for approval. Once the menu is set, you will schedule a cooking day. She purchases all the groceries and brings them to your home to cook, along with her own cooking and cleaning supplies. Chef Laura will package all the food, label everything, and give reheating instructions. And the best part is she will clean everything up before she leaves! You are getting a personalized, thoughtful menu made just for you.

New World Kitchen

New World Kitchen creates vegan, plant-based meals and products. Ordering opens on Tuesday and closes on Thursday. Your food is ready for pick up the following Monday between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM from the Mickle Center (1620 Pleasant St, Des Moines, IA). Delivery is also offered for the Des Moines Metro. The meals are all ready for you to enjoy, all you have to do is heat it up. 

Nourished 

Nourished specializes in vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals. The weekly menu is posted on Thursday at noon and closes on Sunday at noon. Pick up is the following Wednesday. Their products can also be found at Iowa Food Cooperative, Crème Cupcake, Chacha’s Hiland Bakery, and The Slow Down. 

Prepped 

Prepped offers a weekly rotation of 7 different meals, a weekly breakfast option, a chef’s special, protein bites, and a weekly breakfast special. They can also substitute a low carb vegetable for the grains. Ordering opens on Tuesday and closes on Thursday evening. Every meal is completely cooked. Meals are delivered on Sundays, no need to drive anywhere to pick up.
