Hello, my name is Kurt Moore and I have been in mortgage lending for over 8 years overall, helping well over 1000 families with their mortgage needs. Helping families reach their mortgage goals is very important to me personally because I understand what it means to own your first home. Growing up, my parents never owned their own home; we often rented and moved around for the majority of my childhood. My wife and I bought our first home 4 years ago in Des Moines and the memories we have created with our growing family in that short time are absolutely priceless!
Unfortunately, a lot of families who are renting right now, believe that homeownership is out of reach. In fact, a recent study by Freddie Mac found that “nearly 60% of Single Female Head of Household renters surveyed indicate they feel homeownership is out of reach indefinitely.” However, with the increasing cost of rent and the many low down payment options available, including grant options through additional Iowa programs, I believe that homeownership may in fact be closer than many believe.

Join us for our first ‘Lunch and Learn’ event hosted at our new Ingersoll Branch location at 1922 Ingersoll Ave, Des Moines, Iowa 50309. This first event will run from 12 to 1:30 p.m. with lunch provided on June 29th. The max occupancy for each event is 25 people. Each event may include guest speakers to focus on specific topics related to the home buying process – low down payment options, refinancing options, local programs that offer grants, etc.

Kurt Moore joined the Lincoln Savings Bank Ingersoll branch in 2022 as a Mortgage Lender, bringing 8 years of experience with him. He enjoys structuring and originating mortgages to best fit his customers’ needs and helping them get to the finish line. Kurt is knowledgeable on all types of mortgage loans and the most rewarding part of his job is helping families grow and chase their dreams of what “home” means to them. Kurt currently resides just outside of Des Moines with his wife and 3 boys. He and his family are Hawkeye fans and love spending their spare time outside, cooking at home, and having fires – both outside and inside around the fireplace. Kurt’s hobbies include cooking, smoking meats, watching Hawkeye football, and spending time outdoors.
