This year’s theme is Zoo Juniors! Has your kiddo ever wonder what it would be like to grow up as a rhinor or giraffe? Your child will be able to learn hands-on the different family structures in the animal kingdom. There will be games, art and activities.

Climb Iowa camps will introduce young adventurers to rock climbing. Children will learn about trust, teamwork and problem solving while developing their rock climbing skills through interactive games and activities. For ages 7 years to 13 years, $140 for non-members.

Staycation: Treasures

10 am – 4 pm
Spend the day doing a unique hands-on activity or explore the museum! The current exhibition Alchemy: Transformations in Gold is all about the use of gold in art and the day will be surrounded around that topic. There will be a special kid’s menu from Chef’s Palette and the Art Center Cafe. Then entire day will be fun for the entire family.

Your child will learn and stay active! Activities include archery, geocaching, and survival skills! Your children will also make their own lunch over a fire they help build! This camp is for children ages 10-12.
GREATER DES MOINES BOTANICAL GARDENÂ

The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden has tons of classes and workshops scheduled. Including Story Sprouts, held on Friday morning, pop-up education stations and studios on Saturday, a Garden Pizza Party or make Air Plant Wreaths!

These Spring Break Workshops include a theme each day such as Wildlife Allies, Shelter Heroes, and Barn Buddies. These workshops are offered for children ages 8-12. You can register for one day or for all three days! Registration is $50 per day. Â

Spend some time at Raccoon River Park Archery Facility! You will have the opportunity to practice your archery skills and possibly learn some new skills! Ages 9 to 12 years, $25.
