About Polk County 4-H

This is the first summer that Polk County 4-H has offered day camps to the general public. “Over the summer months, we typically offer 4-H programming through our community partners, which can limit who participates,” said Madisen Gaskin county youth coordinator for Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach in Polk County. Through our day camps, we are excited to expand the 4-H footprint and introduce youth to a side of 4-H they may not be as familiar with.”

Last year, Polk County 4-H impacted over 1,500 area youth through clubs, programs, and partnerships. The organization is committed to bringing research-based 4-H programming and experiences to all areas of the county to create positive, safe, and meaningful learning environments.
