2 free outdoor movies in Des Moines’ East Village!

Movie #1: Ferdinand (Begins around 8pm)
Movie #2: Black Panther (After Ferdinand, ~10:15pm)

Bring the whole family and enjoy a movie under the stars!

– Popcorn & cotton candy will be available.
– Indoor restrooms will be open in the church.
– Rain location will be indoors in the auditorium.
– Remember to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on.

Windsor Heights – Colby Park

Located Colby Park at 6900 School St in Windsor Heights. Free outdoor family-friendly movies beginning at dusk. Don’t forget a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a picnic dinner with family. Concession stand will be available. Rain dates July 21st & August 4th.

Des Moines Parks & Recreation: Free Flicks

Free Flicks is a summer-long series of outdoor movies shown throughout Des Moines sponsored by UnityPoint Health – Des Moines. Movies begin after sunset and are shown on our 25-foot inflatable screen. Guests are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and movie snacks as no concessions are available. Movies will not take place in the event of rain.

Movies in Carlisle 

Movies in Carlisle is located at North Park and the Carlisle Family Aquatic Center. First Fridays of the Summer months. Start at dusk. The event is free but some low-cost concessions will be available to purchase. Bring your chair and/or blanket.

Movies in the Park is free and provides an abundance of fun. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments, and get ready to make memories with family and friends.

Clive Outdoor Movies

Watch a movie under the stars. Bring your blankets and chairs for grass seating or inflatable rafts and swimsuits for in-water viewing. Movies will be shown on an inflatable big screen at specific parks. Free popcorn while supplies last.

Starlight Cinema Outdoor Movies – Indianola 

Free family-friendly event. Watch a movie on the big screen at Memorial Park Amphitheater. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. FREE popcorn courtesy of Paramount Theater. Pop and candy will be available to purchase.

Valle Drive-In – Newton, Iowa
