Friday Night Float & Flick – Clive Aquatic Center 

Friday, June 21 

Help Clive kick off the start of summer! Start with Family Night at the Clive Aquatic Center, then stick around for a free outdoor movie on the big screen. Free popcorn provided. Bring your blankets and/or lawn chairs.

Family Night swim at the aquatic center 6 to 8 p.m.: $15 per family at the door

Movie Little Mermaid 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.: FREE


Des Moines Parks & Recreation: Free Flicks

Free Flicks is a summer-long series of outdoor movies in neighborhood parks. The films will be shown on a 25-foot portable screen and begin after sunset. Admission is free and blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. People are free to bring their own snacks as concessions will not be available for purchase. Movies will not take place in the event of rain. Please check our Facebook and Twitter for updates.

Movies on Main is brought to you by the Governors District Alliance. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! The movie will start at dusk, or whenever it gets dark enough. Free for all to attend.

Starlight Cinema Outdoor Movies – Indianola 

Free family-friendly event. Watch a movie on the big screen at Memorial Park Amphitheater. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. FREE popcorn courtesy of Paramount Theater.

Valle Drive-In – Newton, Iowa

You can make a small little trip the Valley Drive-In. There is an admission. The kiddos may enjoy a true drive-in movie adventure.


Movies in the Park – Waukee

Movies in the Park is FREE and provides an abundance of fun. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments, and get ready to make memories with family and friends. Located in Centennial Park.
