- Complimentary Continental Breakfast was a huge hit for our family. After a day of swimming and sleeping in it was great to know we could head downstairs to grab some complimentary breakfast to fuel up for another day of fun. The kids enjoyed the pancake machine! I also loved the large room with beautiful nature views while I sipped my coffee each morning.
- The gift shop came in handy when we ran out of “good” snacks I packed for the trip. They headed down to the “snack bar” to pick out something tasty to snack on.
McCoy’s Whiskey & Wine Bar
I was super impressed with their onsite bar and restaurant. McCoy’s Whiskey & Wine Bar had modern rustic decor, large televisions to watch the big sporting event, friendly staff, and fun cocktails. We stopped in one day after swimming and the kids even filled up on some FREE popcorn. A fun area to hang out and enjoy your favorite drink after a day of playing in Kansas City!
Outdoor Adventures
One of my favorite parts about our location was the outdoor adventures just outside the back door of Stoney Creek Hotel. They offer a large patio, green space, and a walking path that leads to an adjoining path that guides you around the small lake and gorgeous scenery. You can follow the path around the lake to see birds, geese, and ducks, and even catch a glimpse of the Falls of Crackerneck Creek. One morning we made an adventure over and discovered they had a large playground and climbing feature the kids could climb on. I loved how the outdoor area tied in perfectly with the warm woodsy feel of the hotel.
