KOA Campground Review: Lawrence KOA Holiday

Over Memorial Day weekend we took a road trip to Lawrence, Kansas. We did not want to travel far but wanted to explore an area we have not explored much. When searching for a campground we came across the Lawrence KOA Holiday Campground located just outside of Lawrence, Kanas. Take a look at what this campground has to offer!

Location

If you are traveling through Kansas the Lawrence KOA Holiday Campground or also referred to as Kansas City West KOA is located just off of I-70 and just outside of Lawrence, Kansas.

Attractions Nearby

The Kansas City West KOA Campground is located in Lawrence, Kansas. Drive into town and explore Massachusetts Street which offers local restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Lawrence also has fun murals and parks, and you can visit the University of Kansas campus. In addition, you are about 45 minutes away from Kansas City which has thousands of things to see and do such as Oceans of Fun and Worlds of Fun, Sealife Aquarium, Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead (Overland Park), and more!

Overall Thoughts

We had such a fun time at this campground and enjoyed hanging out and playing. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our site was nice, shaded, and right by the pool. The Lawrence KOA Holiday Campground is on the list of our top favorites!
