Ashby Park: A Summer Tradition
Ashby Park is my children’s favorite place to play during the summer and for good reason. In fact, it should be listed on everyone’s Summer Bucket List The reason why? Ashby Park offers a chance to play in both water and on playground equipment. On top of this, it offers lots of trees for shade, which gives you a chance to cool off and have a picnic lunch in the hot Iowa Summer.

Been an Iowa resident my whole life and very active in the outdoors yet I didn’t know of a few of these. Thank you for sharing and thank you for being an involved dad that explores with his kiddos!

Just went to Ashby park this morning (6/3/21) and the wadding pool was not filled. Was bummed it wasn’t open.
I know 🙁 I heard there is a huge shortage of lifeguards right now. Hopefully, it will open soon!
