Spring Crest Park in Waukee, Iowa
Waukee’s newest park is absolute gold! Spring Crest Park immediately will pull your kids in. This park features a hillside playscape that will keep kids of all ages engaged! My kids absolutely loved the giant roller slider! It was so fun to see all of the different ways they slid down and climbed up the hill through all the different ropes, boards, and knolls.
On top of the hill, there are four different structures that give space for kids to climb and explore. The belt climber to the wide mouth slide is perfect for the thrill seeker who loves slides. The fortress multi climber is a place for kids to test their climbing skills and tackle new climbing challenges together. Preschoolers to tweens will find ways to challenge themselves on this equipment.
The fox dens will always be a family favorite. I will often find my child who needs to escape the busyness of a playground, relaxing in one of the circular seats. (At least once per park visit, one of my kids will grab their book and curl up in a fox den and read.) There is also an obstacle course area for 2-5 year olds. This area is low to the ground but offers a way for little ones to explore and climb. This park also offers two standard swings and an auxiliary seat spinner.

No official timeline is currently in place for Phase 2 to be completed at Spring Crest Park. Phase 2 will have two parking lots, a restroom, shelter, half basketball court, pickleball courts, and a sand volleyball court.
