Purchase Howell’s Fall Season Pass. General admission $11 for ages 2 years and older.
General admission includes wagon rides (wheelchair accessible), Corn Maze, playground, jump pillow, bathtub train just to name a few. For an additional cost, they have pony rides, a corn cannon, and a pumpkin cannon.

Located in Cambridge which is between Ames and Ankeny. It is loaded with fun activities for the whole family including apple picking, a pumpkin patch, farm animals, corn maze, corn pool, jumping pillow, hayrack rides, rubber duck races, hands-on Discovery Barn, and much more.

Deal’s Orchard offers a lot of apple varieties. Check before you go for what varieties are available when. They also offer a beautiful Apple Barn that hosts great gifts, yummy apple treats, and more.
Apple Acres is where all the fun is at which includes jumping pillow, corn pool, goat run, giant slides, duck races, pedal tractors, human hamster wheels, wiggle cars, and more. Apple Acres open on Saturday, August 29.

Geisler Farms is so much more than a pumpkin patch. The farm will be open weekends September 12 – October 25. They offer a corn maze, hayride, kids fun zone, and more. Prices for pumpkins and gourds vary.
Saturday & Sundays: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Special Hours: Friday’s in October; 1 to 6 p.m. and Monday, October 12; 1 to 6 p.m.

Iowa Orchard

The Iowa Orchard is located right in the city, in Urbandale. Do not be fooled by the name, they also have lots of pumpkins and gourds available to pick from. They offer tons of varieties of apples. They also offer pies, apple cider, different sauces, and much more.
The Family Fun Zone is open mid-September through Halloween. Open on the weekends only from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. $5 per person. Children 2 years and younger are free. They also offer tour packages you can sign up for.
The Pumpkin Ranch

Uncle Bill’s Farm in Grinnell, Iowa is the place to take your loved ones to enjoy plenty of family-friendly fun! They have lots and lots of safe, farm-style attractions that many thousands of folks have enjoyed for over 25 years. No matter the weather, the farm has plenty of indoor and outdoor fun on tap as well as several picnic shelters, indoor restrooms (not portables) and free parking. Wills Family Orchard

This is a definite must do this fall season. We made a trip to Will Family Orchard a couple of years ago and enjoyed every minute of it. Located just west of Adel, they offer organic apples for picking, a pumpkin patch, farm animals, a cute little store to shop at, and paint your own gourd.
They host an Apple & Pumpkin Fest several weekends during the season. Fun activities for children 2 years and older at $7 plus tax. Activities include a corn maze, hay wagon rides, expanded kids play area (giant corn box, kiddie hay bale maze & duck races), toss games. Plus, their friendly barnyard animals will be there to greet you.
