Fun Details of Mayor Tom Becker Park
I fell in love with this cute, farm-themed park as we pulled into the parking lot. There are a ton of climbing opportunities, swings, a walking path around the playground, a large shelter, and more. This is truly a unique playground in the Greater Des Moines area! There are wood chips within the playground area.
The playground is within the Great Western Crossing Housing Development within Middlebrook.
The day we made a visit to Mayor Tom Becker Park (December 2021) the windmill slide was closed off. Cannot wait to visit when it has reopened!
Loved all the farm-themed climb-ons that were available.
The farmhouse/barn had a bunch of climbing options on the outside and two slides.
Loved all the simple farm details used to tie together the theme.
There is a large covered shelter. There were no picnic tables in place when we visited. This would be such a cute place to rent for a farm-themed birthday or shower!
There is a smaller playground available for the littles.
