Des Moines Local Shops Guide + Discount Codes
When parents began to work from home last Spring, we shifted what we brought in for the Boutique. We wanted everyone to have casual chic pieces to wear to work or at home that were comfortable. Many of our clients were excited about working in pajamas at first but quickly found themselves longing to look stylish BUT comfortable. With that in mind, we expanded our collection of basics, ultra-stretch denim, knit joggers, and casual fashion tops.
There is nothing easier than throwing on your favorite pair of jeans and a light-weight hoodie. We continue to see camo in all the trends. It’s just a great print to pair with a denim jacket or transition as a layer with outerwear as the seasons change. Meet our model, Shanna! She has two kids, is an ICU Nurse, and enjoys riding horses.
Tie-dye is the hottest trend we saw when we went to the market. We’re seeing a modern spin on a timeless throwback, everything from tops to scarves, to bottoms. It’s a perfect print because the color pallet is so versatile! We’ve layered a tie-dye tank with our star printed denim jacket and our favorite black joggers. Meet our model, Maggie! She is a school nurse, has two kids, loves Pure Barre, and spending too much money on house plants.
You can create the ultimate at home (or work) wardrobe with just ten pieces.

Anne is wearing our simple stripe V-neck t-shirt and her favorite pair of Dear John Jeans. This super casual look keeps her looking cute and comfortable. Meet our model, Anne! She is a K-3 special-education teacher, is always cheering her boys on when they are playing hockey, and goes to the lake whenever she can.
Linda is wearing our lace-up pullover in this cute animal print. We’ve paired it with a pair of Dear John Jeans. These are a high waisted fit known as Gisele that comes in a new wash (shown) in Hazelwood. Linda is a mom of two adult children and enjoys being a grandma. When she isn’t spending time with her grandchildren, you’ll find her exercising or cheering on clients as their health coach.
Sara Jacobson is the owner of Fusion, a local women’s clothing and gifts Boutique in West Des Moines. She is wearing a new top from one of our favorite lines, Ariella, and her favorite Dear John Jeans, the high waisted Olivia. When Sara isn’t styling customers, you can find her biking with her husband Eric, reading or walking her beloved Dutch Shepherd, Lady.
