Places to Visit 

City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse 

Address: 705 North Avenue, Norwalk, Iowa 50211

The City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse is a newer 41,000 square foot public recreation facility located in Norwalk, Iowa.  They offer space for recreational activities through open gym, youth and adult programs, court rentals, and birthday parties. Other amenities include an indoor track, Flame Cantina concession stand, lounge seating with a ping-pong table, public restrooms, and an outdoor patio with seating. Visit Ember Market, a women’s clothing and lifestyle boutique. They offer high-quality clothing, accessories, home goods, personal care goods and gifts. Located on the east side of the City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse

Never Bored Games

Hours: 

  • Tuesday-Thursday: 1:00 PM-8:00 PM
  • Friday-Saturday: 11:00 AM-9:00 PM
  • Sunday: 1:00 PM-6:00 PM

Never Bored Games is a game shop that specializes in retro video games, including classics from the Xbox 360, PS3, and earlier eras, along with accessories. They host all kinds of meetups and tournaments and you can even have your birthday party there. 

Little Children’s Boutique 

Address: 1017 Main St #3, Norwalk, IA 50211

Hours: 

  • Mondays: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
  • Fridays: 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM

Little Children’s Boutique has all kinds of cute clothing from Norwalk Spirit Gear, to K POP tees, your child will find something for them. Recently, I was able to snag an adorable Swiftie shirt for my niece. You can also shop online anytime! 

Rose Farm 

Address: 7197 43rd Ave, Norwalk, IA 50211

Rose Farm is a 25-acre flower farm. Throughout the year they host lifestyle workshops, lunch + learn experiences, farm-to-table dinners, farm school for kids and so much more. Visit in the summer and you can meander through their four stunning gardens and create your own bouquet or stop by their Floral Shoppe where they have created beautiful bouquets for you. And you can really enhance your experience by staying on the farm at their Airbnb, Victoria’s House.  

Norwalk Easter Public Library

Norwalk Easter Public Library is a great place to spend a morning. They have a variety of programs such as Maker Wednesdays and Play Cafe. Check out the kids section with a collection of toys including a play diner. Head outside right next door is City Park that has basketball courts, a castle themed playground and a train. 

Parks

Windflower Park

Address: 1915 North Ave, Norwalk, IA 50211

Windflower Park reminds me of an old school park with a lincoln log vibe. Other amenities include bathrooms, a skate park, a disc golf course, picnic tables with shelter and basketball courts. 

Warrior Park

Address: 511 Orchard Hills Dr, Norwalk, IA 50211

Warrior Park is nestled in a neighborhood. It has a large toddler playground with a variety of ways to play including steps, ladders, tunnels and rock climbing. The big kids will love timing themselves on the obstacle course. There is a pond for fishing and a shelter with picnic tables. Plus, there are bathrooms.

Food & Ice Cream

Pin High Sports Bar 

Address: 1951 East 18th Street, Norwalk, IA 50211

Get ready to play at Pin High Sports Bar, a golf and pinball bar. They have six golf simulators and four duckpin bowling lanes. Enjoy the full bar and if you get hungry go next door to Mullets. Pick a membership plan and save on each round. Challenge yourself and join their golf simulator league.

Wendy’s Ice Cream

Address: 1043 Sunset Dr, UNIT 5, Norwalk, IA 50211

(not the fast food restaurant) 

Wendy’s Ice Cream is a quaint ice cream and sandwich shop. We stopped in for the chocolate soft serve. They have a large selection of soft serve, malts, shakes, root beer floats and slushies with a small selection of sandwich options. Purchase a pint of ice cream or a cake to bring home. They have old school diner booths and plenty of outdoor seating for a warm summer night.

Winn’s Pizza and Steakhouse

Address: 1611 Sunset Dr, UNIT 500, Norwalk, IA 50211 

Winn’s Pizza and Steakhouse is a family owned restaurant in Norwalk. Their menu includes USDA choice cuts of meat, a full salad bar, handmade egg rolls and crab rangoon, authentic gyros and their famous pizza. Reserve their party room for your next get together.
