Riverside Bridge Park in Des Moines, Iowa
Riverside Bridge Park is one of the most unique outdoor spaces in downtown Des Moines and a fun stop for families exploring the city on foot or by bike. This is Iowa’s first park built directly on a bridge. This elevated green space sits along the SW First Street bridge just south of Principal Park, offering beautiful views of the Des Moines River and downtown skyline. It is a great place to let kids burn off energy and enjoy a new perspective of the city while walking, biking, or scootering through the area.

This park was designed to keep pedestrians and cyclists in mind. The bridge offers greenery, seating, and beautiful views. At the end of the bridge, there are electric bikes available for rent, too!
