Helpful Tips Before You Go!

From our visit, we picked up a few helpful things families may want to know before heading to the waterpark.

First, only clear, empty water bottles are allowed inside the pool area, but there is a water bottle filling station available so you can easily refill throughout the day. Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the waterpark area, but there is a Snack Shack on-site that offers quick and easy options like pizza, ice cream, and other novelty snacks that kids will love. Adults can also purchase alcoholic beverages if they want to relax with a drink while the kids swim.

One thing we especially appreciated was the setup of the seating around the pool. There are plenty of chairs and tables located near the kids’ play area, making it easy for parents to sit and relax while still being close enough to keep an eye on the kids while they play.

Families are also welcome to bring their own floaties and life jackets, which is great if your kids have a favorite one they are comfortable using.

Overall, the layout and setup made it feel very family-friendly and easy to spend several hours enjoying the waterpark together.

Dining at The Regatta: Lake Views + Delicious Food

Located right inside King’s Pointe Resort, The Regatta is a convenient and delicious dining option for families staying at the resort. The restaurant offers hearty American-style fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with beautiful views of Storm Lake. Designed in tiers so each table has a view of the water, it is the perfect spot to refuel after a day at the waterpark or walking along the nearby bike path and floating dock. During our visit, we truly did not eat a thing we did not like, and it was such an easy option when we did not feel like leaving the resort.

Comfortable Rooms Perfect for Families

After a full day of swimming and exploring, the comfortable rooms make it easy to recharge. Families can choose from standard rooms, suites, and lakeview accommodations. Many rooms provide plenty of space for families traveling with kids, making it easy to settle in for the night. Our room had a fridge and microwave, which was great when we had leftovers and for the snacks we brought along.

The lakeview rooms are especially nice if you enjoy starting your morning with a cup of coffee while overlooking the water.
