Jaycee Park in West Des Moines, Iowa
Jaycee Park is a recently renovated playground in West Des Moines. Nestled in a shady park, this playground captivates kids from the moment they arrive. The playground area consists of four different unique structures. The fortress multi climber is the first structure that grabs kids attention. My kids had a blast testing their climbing skills and tackling new climbing challenges together. Toddlers to tweens will find ways to make this challenging.

This playground has an alpine slide. My kids couldn’t get enough of the slightly wider slider that felt a bit more thrilling than a traditional slide. They adored that the slide had a belt climber to get to the slide. This new playground remodel also has two fox den hangouts. These unique hanging seats gently rock, offering a peaceful place for kids to escape the hustle and bustle at the playground. More than once I have found one of my kids curled up in a fox den with a good book.
Jaycee Park also has a 2-5 year old traditional yet in modern colors playground. It has multiple ways to climb up (steps, ladder, rock wall like ladder) and with the perfect toddler height slide. Jaycee Park’s swing set has two traditional swings, one toddler seat swing and one 5-12 hard bucket swing.
