Join Iowa Wild for the 2024-25 Hockey Season
Iowa Wild hockey is back, bringing future NHL stars right to your backyard! If you thought last year was fun, this season is going to be even better. With an experience unlike any other in Des Moines, there is plenty to be excited about no matter how old you are including unique theme nights, irreplaceable giveaways, and tons of extra promotions. Some of the highlights this season include:
Opening Night – October 12th at 6 p.m.
What better way to start the season than a game that celebrates the fans?! Enjoy brand-new experiences and in-game giveaways all night long. The first 1500 fans in the building will receive a magnet schedule as we kick off the season in style!
Kids Kickoff – October 13th at 3 p.m.
Join the Wild for a special kickoff to the season for the kids! Enjoy bounce houses, games, and more on your way into the arena. Be one of the first 1500 fans in the building and you’ll receive a post schedule and shoe charms!
Pucks ‘N Paws – November 3rd at 3 p.m.
Hockey + dogs = fun. That’s just a fact and for one day only this season, you can bring the whole family, even your dog, to an Iowa Wild game. The first 400 dogs to enter the building will receive a collapsible dog bowl and all fans in attendance are invited to stick around after the game for a postgame skate!
Veterans Appreciation – November 16th at 6 p.m.
The Iowa Wild celebrates all veterans and pays homage to Wild hockey history with a fun night for the whole family. Enjoy specialty jerseys and a hat giveaway for the first 1500 fans in attendance.
Meet Bluey – December 8th at 3 p.m.
Bluey is coming to Wells Fargo Arena and this is your chance to meet her! The first 1500 kids 12 and under will receive a free youth jersey and all fans are invited to stay after the game for a free post-game skate.
Teddy Bear Toss – December 20th at 7 p.m.
Help the Wild give back to those in need with the annual Teddy Bear Toss! Bring your new stuffed animals to the game and when the Wild score their first goal, let them fly onto the ice. All bears will be donated to local nonprofit organizations.
Ring in the New Year – December 28th at 6 p.m.
It’s New Year’s Eve with the Wild and we want to ring in 2025 with YOU! There will be live music on the concourse for our Saturday Night Local Concert Series and make sure you stay in your seats following the game for a special postgame fireworks show!
Kids Takeover Day – January 26th at 3 p.m.
This one is all about the kids! Join Crash’s Kids Club to be one of the lucky young Wild fans who helps us run our show, covering everything from in-arena hosting to hopping on the broadcast. For kids 12 and under, the first 1500 in the building will receive a free youth jersey.
Love in the Wild Night – February 14th at 7 p.m.
Will you be our Valentine? We sure hope so, because we have a special Cupid Crash bobblehead for the first 1500 fans in the building. Come spend the evening with your favorite hockey team!
Pink in the Rink – February 15th at 6 p.m.
One of the biggest Iowa Wild games every year is the annual Pink in the Rink game, where the Wild and our fans battle breast cancer. With specialty jerseys worn during the game, a must-see light the rink ceremony, and more – you won’t want to miss this game. Get your tickets soon because they are going fast!
Crash’s Birthday – March 16th at 3 p.m.
Crash is turning 10 and you’re invited to his birthday bash! This year’s party is “Wild West” themed and the first 1500 kids in the building age 12 and under will receive a special youth jersey. Crash will also have his mascot buddies in attendance!
Batman Night – April 6th at 3 p.m.
Who doesn’t love the caped crusader? Join the Wild for a night of crime fighting fun with Batman and his superhero pals. The first 1500 fans in the building will receive a Batman bobblehead!
Fan Appreciation Night – April 19th at 6 p.m.
We have the greatest fans in hockey, which means they need to be celebrated! Our final game of the season will feature all kinds of in game prizes and the first 1500 fans who enter the building will get a team photo.
Sunday Skates
After every Sunday game this season, fans are invited to skate on the ice at Wells Fargo Arena! Bring your own skates but limited skate rentals will be available for those who need them!
