Family-Friendly Pride Events in Des Moines, Iowa
Is your family seeking fun, inclusive, family-friendly activities? Central Iowa Rainbow Families is a community organization dedicated to creating safe, inclusive events and spaces for LGBTQ families and those seeking these spaces year-round.
With Pride Month beginning on June 1, your family has many opportunities to participate in events that help your children develop an appreciation for diversity and compassion for others.
By attending LGBTQ-inclusive events with their children, parents help foster an environment rooted in acceptance, respect, and understanding. Family-inclusive Pride events provide valuable learning experiences, helping children appreciate diversity and inclusivity from a young age.
Parents can also model supportive behavior, teaching their children the importance of standing up against discrimination and embracing people of all backgrounds. Attending together can also open up important conversations about identity and empathy, strengthening the parent-child bond and building a foundation for a more inclusive and compassionate future.

We are a safe space that allows LGBTQIA+ families from across Central Iowa to connect, share resources, and build community.
