Criksena Park in Clive, Iowa
Criksena Park has been a long-awaited neighborhood park in Clive, Iowa. This simple playground has a naturescape feel while having rubber surfacing and lots of room to run. This playground features a single bay basket swing and several different unique wooden structures to climb on. My kids especially loved climbing on top of the wooden beams, testing their balance and strength.
My kids loved the simple feel of this playground. It was fun as a parent to watch their imagination come alive. The kids also loved climbing on top of the wooden poles.

Nearby Criksena Park, you will find several other great parks. Less than a mile away in Waukee, you will find two great parks–Fox Creek Park which is a favorite spray ground in our family, and Alice Nizzi Park (the Spaghetti and Meatball Park.)
We have also been known on our way home to stop at the Palms Theater in Waukee and grab a big bag of movie theater popcorn for an afternoon snack.
