Family-Friendly Fun at the City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse in Norwalk, Iowa
The City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse is a newer 41,000 square foot public recreation facility located in Norwalk, Iowa, and is part of Norwalk Central. They offer space for recreational activities through open gym, youth and adult programs, court rentals, and birthday parties. Other amenities include an indoor track, Flame Cantina concession stand, lounge seating with a ping-pong table, public restrooms, and an outdoor patio with seating. Open Recreation
They have open recreation schedules for a variety of sports, including basketball, futsal, volleyball, pickleball, toddler time, and indoor track. You are welcome to bring your equipment, but they also have equipment to check out, such as basketballs, volleyballs, pickleball equipment, cornhole bags, ping pong equipment, and toddler equipment. Toddler Time
Every parent I know is always looking for places to go during our long Iowa winters. So parents will be thrilled to see another place for toddler time in the Des Moines Metro. Toddler Time is intended for children under 5, but older siblings are welcome; they just need to pay the higher fee. Kids will love the bounce house, toddler slide, Little Tikes basketball hoop, balance beam, large building blocks, and a variety of hoops and balls to play with. If bringing older siblings, I would bring a basketball or soccer ball for them to play with.
Court Rentals and Birthday Parties
Whether you are looking to rent one court, all the courts, the lounge, or the whole facility, Norwalk Fieldhouse can help you out. Each court is available to rent and will be set up for you, including the basketball courts, futsal court, volleyball, and pickleball court.
Host your next birthday party at the Fieldhouse. You get rental equipment, tables, and chairs for up to 45 people, one court, and then you can customize it to your needs, such as a bounce house, basketball, futsal, volleyball, pickleball, gaga ball, or wiffle ball. You can book birthday food packages through their concession stand, too.
Things Close By
Mullets recently opened their second location, which is located directly next to the fieldhouse. Pin High Sports Bar is another neighbor if you are looking to bowl or golf. A healthier option, Nutri Smoothie & Cafe, is located around the corner from the fieldhouse. Cooper’s Central Table & Cocktails is also a good option. Suffice to say, this area is bursting with new businesses to visit!
