Ashawa Park in West Des Moines has a brand new playground! This unique playground with its large tower draws kids in. The main structure has two thrilling slides, various challenging and unique climbing spots, and lots of surprising little features (the clear panels are so cool!). My kids especially loved the different places to chill on this structure, perfect for the imagination loving kids to play kings and queens. It was also so fun to watch their brave part come out and conquer the two slide bars over and over!
Ashawa Park also has many features that target 2-5 year olds. Several sensory panels, a playhouse and a larger 2-5 year old traditional structure. Toddlers will also love the four seat bouncy ride. (Parents of littles will want to watch their kids on the tower playground because there is one spot where there is a 6ft drop where you will want to keep an eye on an unaware toddler.)
Ashawa Park is also stacked with a great swing selection. There is a toddler bucket swing, two standard swings, toddler/adult swing and a 5-12 plastic bucket swing. My kids loved the stand alone twisty spinner too and the spinning bucket seat!
