8 Great Central Iowa Restaurants for Date Night

It doesn’t happen too often, but every once in a while my wife and I get a chance to have a nice dinner out without the kids.  When that time comes we don’t look at our kid-friendly list of restaurants.  Instead we check out our “Thank God, we get an evening to ourselves restaurant list”.  If you get a chance to have a nice dinner out away from your kiddos you can’t go wrong with any of these local restaurants.

Centro – The urban eatery specializes in delicious Italian-inspired food featuring fresh ingredients and masterful preparation by Chef George Formaro.  The Wood-Grilled Salmon is excellent!

Sam and Gabe’s – Sam & Gabe’s Italian Restaurant specializes in homemade, Northern Italian Cuisine, high-touch service and menu-friendly prices. Experience warm and intimate candlelit dining, accentuated by panoramic photographs of Pisa and Florence.  You can’t go wrong with the Italian Grilled Chicken!
