Each year, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) launches its Man and Woman of the Year fundraising campaign and I am honored to join this year’s efforts. To help raise money for the team goal we have created Team Des Moines Parent!
The mission of the LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and improve the lives of patients and families. Leukemia claims more children’s lives than any other disease but strikes 10 times more adults than children. Funds raised will provide patient financial aid, research, public, and professional health education and community service programs in Iowa. I have always loved being involved in and giving back to my community, which offers so many great causes to support including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I cannot imagine any parent watching their children, family or friends suffer from cancer. It is time to find a cure.
As part of our campaign, we are hosting some super fun events for families and just moms! Take a look at all the upcoming events and register. All funds will go directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Grab your paint, crayons, and markers to send a special note to your friend. These Printable Mosaic Cards are a perfect way for your children to practice their artistic and writing skills. They can send one to Grandma or their best friend they haven’t seen for a few weeks. Everyone loves receiving snail mail, right?
This set includes 5 Printable Mosaic Cards designed by Fancy Fox Design. Print them out on white or colored cardstock. Make sure to leave space on the backside for a stamp and address to send as a postcard or stick them in an envelope.
