The Alphabet Adventures program is designed for school-aged children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade and are less than 13 years old. The Alphabet Adventures program is housed in our adjacent clubhouse. This space is designed to accommodate up to 21 children with 2-3 teachers.
During the summer the Alphabet Adventures program provides a weekly themed summer camp with activities to explore and learn from. Field trips add adventure to the already engaging educational aspects. Children are engaged in topics and activities that they don’t even realize they are learning from!
Past Alphabet Adventures field trips have included swimming lessons, the Science Center of Iowa, National Balloon Museum, Iowa Hall of Pride, Iowa Cubs game, Racoon River Nature Lodge, Gold Star Museum, county fairs, Iowa State Fair, Apple Store, IPTV. Our program also has visited various movie theaters, splash pads, swimming pools, libraries, and city, and county parks.
During the school year, the Alphabet Adventures program provides transportation to and from St. Theresa Catholic School (Des Moines) and Westridge Elementary School (West Des Moines). Our school year program is a happy combination of relaxation and fun with friends after a busy school day.
