Winter Warmth Drive 2015: Fill The Truck!

Donate gently used winter items such as hats, coats, gloves and they will be distributed to students and families in Central Iowa to keep them warm this winter.

The items that Winter Warmth Drive receives are then distributed to various local non-profits that work with schools and those in need around Central Iowa. Some non-profits include: Freedom For Youth, Iowa Homeless Youth Centers, Hawthorn Hill, Johnston Partnership Coat Closet and Zion Luthern, as well as over 30 schools in the Des Moines Metro.

This years Fill The Truck event is being held on November 4th & 5th from 7 am – 7 pm! It will be held at Chik-fil-A at Paradise Point on Mills Civic Parkway AND Chik-fil-A in Ankeny!

About Winter Warmth Drive

The Winter Warmth Drive is a community effort ran by students within schools in the Des Moines Metro area. They collect coats, hats, gloves, blankets, scarves, snow boots, and pants. In 2014, nearly 9,000 items were collected and donated to children and families in need. New this year, Winter Warmth Drive has teamed up with Mid-Iowa Council Boy Scouts- the MICBS troops.
