Your ticket includes a two hour ride aboard our elegantly appointed 1950’s dining cars, and your choice of: Prime rib, an Iowa Chop, a bacon wrapped grilled chicken breast stuffed with cheddar cheese, Mediterranean encrusted salmon, or a homemade vegetable lasagna. Today the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival is an annual event in Des Moines, Iowa attracting over 14,000 bacon-lovers from all over the world. Spend the day eating bacon with your loved one!
Living History Farms
3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Pair cocktails mixed by Iowa artisan distillers with bite-sized sweets and savory items created by local eateries. Visit with distillers about the process of making spirits with Iowa grains.
