Summer Outdoor Movies 2016

One of our favorite summer activities is to go watch outdoor summer movies! Bring blankets, chairs, snacks and drinks! All movies begin at dusk which is around 8:30ish or later, so dress the kiddos up in some comfy PJ’s too!

This year there are LOTS being offered in the Des Moines area and I have broken it all down for you! Make sure you bookmark this page! Also, check our event calendar. They are all listed there!

Summer Outdoor Movies 2016

Movie Night at Jack Trice Stadium

FREE and open to the public. Starts at 7 pm. Gates open at 6 pm. Blankets only, no chairs permitted.

Located Colby Park at 6900 School St in Windsor Heights! Free Outdoor Family-Friendly Movies Beginning at Dusk! Don’t forget a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a picnic dinner with family!

Clive Outdoor Movies

Watch a movie under the stars! Bring your blankets and chairs for grass seating or inflatable rafts and swimsuits for in-water viewing. Movies will be shown on an inflatable big screen in the aquatic center. In the event of bad weather, the movie will be shown indoors at the Special Events Building. Free popcorn while supplies last.

Swim at the Clive Aquatic Center before attending the outdoor movies from 7:15 – 8:30 p.m. The concession stand will be open until 9:30 p.m.

$2 per person, ages 2 and under free. Sorry, no passes accepted.

Valle Drive-In – Newton, Iowa

You can make a small little trip the Valley Drive-In. There is an admission. The kiddos may enjoy a true drive-in movie adventure! Check out here to see what is playing and prices.
