Governors Days: June 12th-14th – Held entirely within the Governors District, in the heart of Grimes, Iowa, this premier summer event incorporates all the ingredients for an exciting family friendly event. Complete with concerts, parades, carnivals, car shows and much, much more; Governors Days has something for everyone.
Johnston Green Days: June 19th-22nd Green Days is an annual community celebration held in Johnston. Green Days’ activities include a parade, carnival, children’s activities, entertainment in the beverage garden, rib cook-off contest, Bill Riley Talent Search, 5K walk and run and much more!
Des Moines Arts Festival: June 27th-29th – The Des Moines Arts Festival® features the best visual artists in the country, along with interactive arts-related activities, live music, film, and performing arts.
Independence Day Street Celebration: July 3rd – This evening will feature live music, food and fun for the entire family. The celebration will be held in Railroad Park and the 100 block of 5th Street after the completion of the West Des Moines Independence Day Parade (approximately 6:00 – 11:00 pm).
Clive Festival : July 17th-19th – This year’s schedule is packed with activities for both kids and adults to provide a well-rounded event for the entire Clive community. The Clive Festival has once again joined with Metro Arts Jazz in July to bring popular local recording artists to the stage on Thursday evening. The popular Kid’s Corner will return on Saturday with expanded crafts, story-telling, tug-of-war, inflatables, and two giant slip-and-slides hosted by the Clive Fire Department. The fun ends Saturday evening around 9:45 p.m. with an annual “Thunder Over Clive” fireworks celebration.

Italian American Heritage Festival – The Italian American Heritage Festival of Iowa, “VIVA L’ITALIA” will take place on July 25th and 26th, 2014 at the Western Gateway Park in downtown Des Moines. Music, Food, Culture and More.
Indianola National Balloon Classic – July 25th-August 2nd – Come join in the fun during this incredible 9-day event. Live bands/entertainment nightly, KidsLand activities, fabulous food offerings, Nite Glow Extravaganza, Fireworks, and of course spectacular hot air balloons from all over the country.
Adel Sweet Corn Festival : August 8th-9th – This annual event is Adel’s way of saying “Thank you” to the community and to all who visit. Come early, enjoy the parade, eats lots of corn, visit the many booths and enjoy the stage shows.
