Strong Moms Strength Class for Moms & Kids

Strong Moms was created by Kristin McManus, owner of Equip Fitness Training. She created it with moms in mind, being a mother of 4, she knows how hard it is to find time to exercise & socialize! Strong Moms is an opportunity for moms to take care of themselves in mind, body & spirit. This class also provides an outlet for moms to socialize and a place for their kids to burn off energy too!  

What you can expect to receive when you join Strong Moms:

Strong Moms is a full-body workout, building strength in body, mind, and spirit.  Classes are designed for both moms and kids!  Kids are invited to come to class with their moms, either to play with other kids or join their mom for the workout.  Kristin knows that interruptions will happen, and that’s okay. Strong Moms is all about encouraging one another, being strong together & having fun along the way! 

Join Equip Fitness Training in January at Aptitude Fitness!  Equip is collaborating with Aptitude Fitness to bring you, Strong Moms, on a weekly basis.

In addition to Strong Moms, Aptitude Fitness offers weekday classes at 9:20 am where kids are always welcome to join their moms!  Aptitude Fitness truly believes moms are the best role models for their kids- and what a great way to model taking care of yourself by working out with them and making yourself a priority!  Aptitude Fitness has a fully stocked playroom located off the class area. *note: no child care staff is available.

About the Author

Kristin McManus is a lifelong Iowan. During her own personal health journey, she experienced various unhealthy obsessions & cycles. During this time, she was led by God to get her personal training certification. It has truly given her the ability to meet people where they are in their journey while being able to provide the encouragement & resources needed to succeed. Kristin previously worked in a big gym atmosphere which is what led her to coach group fitness. Kristin absolutely loves coaching group fitness, creating a space for the community with others, and being a source of encouragement. Empowering others through fitness is her passion! Outside the gym, she enjoys being outdoors, specifically hiking, baking for her family & all things holistic living.

Erin is a reliable resource and stepping stone for women and families to find support and make connections within our community. She wants families to feel confident to reach out and ask for help and advice to get pointed in the right direction. She enjoys traveling and exploring with her two children in tow!
