Science Center of Iowa: New Exhibits!

If you follow the Science Center of Iowa on Facebook or subscribed to their mailing list you have probably heard the little announcement, that there are two NEW exhibits coming to the Science Center! As Summer comes to an end, the Science Center will be providing some new and creative ways for you and your children to learn.

Race: Are We So Different?

October 10th, 2015 – April 3rd, 2016

This is going to a great exhibit for adults and children. It will be a great way for us to rethink the science and sociology of race. You will learn the variation of race, the history and idea of where race came from, and learn about race and racism within the United States. Not only is it a learning exhibit but also hands-on. There will be historical artifacts, iconic objects, and compelling projects

Geometry Playground

October 31st, 2015 – May 30th, 2016

Okay, doesn’t the title of this sound completely awesome?! I am super excited to take Monte to check out the Geometry Playground! This hands-0n exhibit was created by the Exploratorium. You will be able to climb on structures inspired by geometric principles, discover angles, lines and more, that shape your world. I have never been a fan of geometry, but I may become one now! 🙂

We all know that the cold temperatures are going to set in real soon! The Science Center of Iowa will be the place to be this Fall and Winter!
