RipRoar Youth Triathlon in West Des Moines, Iowa
The next generation of triathletes will swim, bike, and run their way through Raccoon River Park this weekend in a one-of-a-kind triathlon experience that gives kids of all ages and abilities the chance to dig deep and cross a finish line like no other.
The RipRoar Youth Triathlon is loud, exciting, engaging, and full of vigor – just like its young athletes! Recognizing a lack of opportunities for kids to participate in a triathlon, Michael Zimmerman founded RipRoar Events and hosts several races and triathlons across Iowa and Nebraska.
There is still time to register!
There is still plenty of time to register for the Saturday, July 10th RipRoar Youth Triathlon at Raccoon River Park. Children ages 6 through 15 years old are invited to register to participate in swimming, biking, and running. The age of your child will determine how far your child will swim, bike, and run. You can find the details of the entire course and distances here.
Teamwork + Celebration
The RipRoar Youth Triathlon is not all about competition, but about teamwork and celebration. This event shows what every child is capable of and encourages participates to cheer each other on. Of course, after working hard, athletes will celebrate in an epic finish line party.
“This is a unique experience for kids that encourages hard work and healthy lifestyles – but also camaraderie,” Zimmerman says. “These kids fully support each other, and accept each other, and cheer like crazy for each other. It’s hard to describe what happens out there. The dynamic will just blow you away.”
Save the date, sign your child up, and/or head to Raccoon River Park to cheer on all the amazing youth participating in this year’s RipRoar Youth Triathlon.
