How to Prep Your Business For the Holidays
The Halloween costumes lay in a sad heap on the floor. A sure sign that October is finally over and we are well on our way to Thanksgiving. And for many of us business owners, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are the busiest (and hopefully most profitable) of the entire year.
It’s hard enough to plan for the crazy holiday season for your own family, but layer in the pressure of making big sales during this time of year and it is no wonder we crawl into the new year completely exhausted.
However, in my experience, I’ve found 3 ways to prep your business for the holidays that can save your sanity (and boost your sales).
Plan for profit first
Be sure you know your numbers and what your audience wants to buy from you.
Put your social on autopilot
Plan out at least 2 weeks of content for Facebook and Instagram using Later. (https://later.com/)
Email your list
Emails reach a higher number of reads than social media and have higher conversion rates. Don’t be afraid to get in their inbox.
About the Author
Hi! I’m Katie Spellman, the one-woman show behind Revel and Grow. I teach mama-owned businesses how to run self-managed Facebook and Instagram ads to increase their web traffic and grow their email list. My handsome husband and I live in the rural area outside of Des Moines, with our 1-year-old son, Matthew and crazy chocolate lab, Penny. Like most 30-something women, I have a penchant for Target and Starbucks and oversized, cozy sweaters. I don’t really believe in work-life “balance” but I do believe in work-life “integration”. I love helping women grow their own businesses through online marketing strategies. If you’re looking for more feedback on your business strategies, feel free to ask me inside my Facebook Group. I host weekly office hours where I’ll answer all your marketing questions (and more)!
