Music on the Plaza in Altoona

Families are welcome to enjoy some free music in Altoona on Friday nights from 6 to 9 p.m. The concerts are at the Civic Plaza next to Hy-Vee. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Food and drink items are available for purchase from several local vendors.

Ankeny Summer Sounds Concert Series

The Summer Sounds Concert Series is held on Thursday nights at the Band Shell in Wagner Park. Live music will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The concerts are free and open to the public; bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating.

Wright Outdoor Solutions in West Des Moines. 

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and spend your afternoon on our gorgeous grounds. Make sure to stop through our Garden Center while you are here as well. Peruse our selection of plants and stop in to our refreshed retail space, visit the arrangement bar to plant up something special and shop our selection of great products. Our expert staff loves to talk all things gardening!

Roosevelt Summer Sundays Concerts

Concerts begin at 7:00 pm, unless otherwise noted. Bring a lawn chair, bring your friends, and we’ll see you at the park. Roosevelt Park is an alcohol- and tobacco-free park, in compliance with City of Ames ordinances.

Jasper Winery Concert Series

2400 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines. Just West of Gray’s Lake.

Every Thursday evening 6 to 9 p.m.

Admission is free.

All shows outside. Weather permitting. Otherwise in the outdoor party tent.

Bring blankets and lawn chairs for outside seating, Play lawn games including bags and ball. Burgers and brats will be available from the grill. Alcoholic drinks must be purchased on-site (Jasper Winery’s wine is AWESOME!). Sometimes Gusto makes an appearance and Chocolaterie Stam with delish gelato. Located at Memorial Park in Indianola, live music will happen three times this summer. Grab your lawn chairs and a blanket and prepare to enjoy a wonderful evening of live music and friends. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Admission cost is $5. Children 10 and under are free. Music starts at 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Music in the Park: Windsor Heights

Enjoy live music outdoors at Colby Park. There will be food trucks and local vendors. The concerts are free and the Windsor Heights Lions Club will serve free snow cones and the Windsor Heights Foundation will be popping fresh popcorn. Concerts start at 7 p.m.
