Outdoor Family Fun at Glow Wild 2019
Glow Wild, put on by Polk County Conservation and Cumulus Media, is back for its fourth year! Each year Glow Wild is attended by families all over central Iowa to celebrate the end of summer and fun, outdoor activities.
This year Glow Wild will be held on Saturday, August 24 starting at 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Jester Park in Granger, Iowa.
The entire evening will be filled with food, drinks, tethered hot air balloon rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, and the signature towering bonfire.
Other fun family-friendly activities include:
- Insect Zoo
- Archery (12+)
- Monarch tagging
- Pony exhibit
- S’mores roasting
- Airbrush face painting
- Giant yard games
- Glow-in-the-Dark climbing walls

Glow Wild is held at Jester Park in Granger, Iowa. If you have not had the chance to visit the new and beautiful Jester Park Nature Center, this is the perfect opportunity to do so! The event is held right outside the Nature Center and families are welcome to explore and have fun during the event.
No outdoor festival would be complete without live music. This year Glow Wild is excited to welcome The Georgia Satellites who will take the stage at 8 p.m.
