The Nutcracker: A Holiday Classic

The Nutcracker: A Holiday Classic

My 5 year old daughter loves ballet.  Which means not only do I get to read Angelina Ballerina books all the time, but it also means that when holiday season hits it’s time to buy ballet tickets.  This year my daughter is really spoiled and gets to see 2 shows, The Snow Queen and the Nutcracker.  This year you can catch the Nutcracker at Hoyt Sherman Place.  Here’s a bit more about the show:

Ballet Des Moines is pleased to present its 13th annual production of The Nutcracker.  Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker is one of the best-known ballets in the world and remains a cornerstone of ballet companies worldwide. Ballet Des Moines’ adaptation is choreographed by Artistic Director Serkan Usta and Ballet Mistress Lori Grooters. Join us for their production this December. You will be visually delighted by their resident professional company and more than 300 local and youth dancers.
