Noodles & Company has officially invaded the Central Iowa area. The casual dining restaurant now has 4 locations open across Des Moines. They offer, you guessed it, a wide variety of noodle dishes, sandwiches, soup and salads.
Noodles & Company has quickly become one of my kids’ favorite places to eat because of their Wisconsin Mac and Cheese dish. They use a blend of cheddar and jack cheeses along with elbow macaroni, so it’s more of the traditional Kraft Mac and Cheese look most kids love. You have the options of adding meatballs, chicken, shrimp or tofu to add some protein to the dish. It comes in 2 sizes, regular and small. I recommend the small size for your child and even that size could be shared by 2 little ones (It’s a lot!). 2 other kid favorites that they have are Spaghetti and Meatballs and a classic Buttered Noodle dish. If you are lucky and have a child, who loves veggies they have good options too.
For us parents, they also have sandwiches, soups and salads to choose from. I usually go with a sandwich, but other people have told me they have great salads. As far as prices go, for a family of 4, depending on the sizes you order and drink choices, you are looking at a bill around $25.00.
If you haven’t tried Noodles and Company yet, I would recommend checking it out. It will keep the kids happy and won’t break the bank. If you have a sweet tooth like me, I recommend hitting the Noodles & Company at Valley West Mall, and then pay a visit to Chocolaterie Stam and try out some Gelato or a fine piece of chocolate.
