The Iowa State Fair welcomed the Mixify Tour last week! The Mixify Tour bus rolled into the fairgrounds during the famous Iowa State Fair Parade Wednesday and stayed through Saturday, August 15th.
The Mixify Tour is a series of events, that travel around the United States and provide fun activities, tips, tools, demonstrations, music, giveaways, and more! The Mixify Tour was designed to help educate teens the importance of balancing what you eat and drink, with what they do.
While its stay at the Iowa State Fair, the tour bus moved to the Grand Concourse on Friday, directly next to the soap box for all the action! Dylan Dauzat, Teen YouTube celebrity, helped encourage teens to think about balancing “eat, drink and do”.
An Iowa native, Susan Neely from the American Beverage Association (ABA) is proud to help promote Mixify, “Mixify encourages teens to be thoughtful about the calories they’re consuming—including from beverages—and to be active. We know moms work to achieve this for their families every day and we’re taking this message on the road as one way to provide support for their efforts. As an Iowa native, I’m especially proud to culminate our summer tour by bringing our message of balancing what you eat, drink and do to my home state’s State Fair to reach thousands of Iowa’s teens.”
Mixify was developed and created from parents and teens. The program is focused on supporting the efforts of parents’ to educate their teens in balancing “eat, drink and do”.
The Mixify Tour travels using a 25-foot truck re-purposed into a traveling billboard! The Mixify Tour bus acted as the center of events across the country, where fitness instructors and educators could answer questions and teach group fitness classes.
I cannot wait to see what the Mixify Tour will have to offer next year!
