Matinees at the Museum: Free Movies over Spring Break


Want to catch a free kids flick over Spring Break?  Head down to the State Historical Museum March 16th-20th.  Each day at 1:00pm they will feature a different movie.

More info: Catch a film that has a strong connection to Iowa and complements the current Museum exhibition, “Hollywood in the Heartland.” Museum staff will offer brief remarks prior to each movie to further showcase the Iowa connection.

  • March 18th: Happy Feet
  • March 19th: The Croods
  • March 20th: Ice Age: The Meltdown

Hours: 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Saturday | Noon – 4:30 p.m. Sunday
Cost: Admission and activities are free

Parking is free at the state parking garage north of the building.
