This year at Glow Wild you can come to celebrate the natural world in all its fascinating, beautiful wildness. Hosted on September 24 at Jester Park Nature Center Glow Wild features more than 30 hands-on activities. Learning about the earth sciences has never been more fun and engaging.
Get your tickets now at GlowWildIowa.com. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Prices increase by $2 at the gate. Children two and younger are free.

This year Glow Wild programs and activities have been designed to celebrate your parks and wildlife areas, because National Public Lands Day also falls on September 24. Now in its 28th year, the annual commemoration celebrates the connection between people and green spaces in their community and inspires environmental stewardship.
In addition to the many science-related activities, you can also explore the connection between nature and the arts at Glow Wild. Ignite your creativity with up-cycled crafts. Contribute to community art through collaborative boulder painting. Have your face painted like a butterfly or other native creature. Dance in a wide open field as three different bands perform live on the Glow Wild stage.

And don’t forget to snag a free s’more before basking in the glow of the giant bonfire! For a full list of activities, check out GlowWildIowa.com.
Though the opportunities to learn and explore at Glow Wild are many, the true benefit is simply a time for your family to enjoy the great outdoors together. Numerous studies show that for kids, spending more time outdoors reduces stress and fatigue, builds confidence, and promotes creativity. Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday, doesn’t it? Join families and nature lovers from all over central Iowa at Glow Wild on September 24.
