Let us put ease in your day! Park at Outlets of Des Moines, SHOP deals that will light up your look, RIDE the Free EXPRESS shuttle to & from Prairie Meadows to view the Fireworks!

July 4; 5 to 9 p.m. 

Enjoy a hot air balloon display, complete with a night glow. Explore the Iowa Speedway pace car and an Indy race car, FREE Kids activities – face painting & spin art. Relax with live music by Tony Bohnenkamp 6-9pm, and grab something to eat or drink from Over The Top & Booze Cruzer beverage truck. Shops to remain open until 9 pm! Perhaps you’ll catch a glimpse of the Adventureland Fireworks!

4th of July by the River at Brenton Skating Plaza

July 4 at 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Please join us at the Brenton Skating Rink downtown to celebrate our nation’s 242nd anniversary… let freedom ring! There will be music, performances by several local legends and a featured artist (to be announced soon), food trucks and a beautiful view of our city’s skyline! The event is for all ages.

Come and celebrate the anniversary of our nation’s independence on Wednesday, July 4th at the Home Base Grimes Independence Day Fireworks Show!


July 28 & August 4 at Dusk

Enjoy a fireworks display on the first and last Saturday of the National Balloon Classic.



4th of July Parade

July 4; 9 a.m. to Noon

Join some of your favorite superheroes from the League in celebrating our great nation alongside the Norwalk Police Department, Iowa and Norwalk Fire Dept! In addition to the Batcar, you can expect to see and maybe even meet the Queen of the Amazons, your friendly neighborhood Spidey, the Ant-man and the Dark Knight! We are also working behind the scenes in hopes of having a very special guest ride with us this year so stay tuned for updates.

Join the fun of the annual Independence Day Parade that will start at Valley High School and end in Valley Junction.



WDM125 Pool Parties 

July 4; Noon to 6 p.m.

It’s a party! West Des Moines is celebrating their 125th year with discounted admission to both aquatic centers and fun activities for the entire family taking place every hour. $3 per person.

Fireworks Display 

July 4 at Dusk

Enjoy a fireworks display over the Blue Heron Lake in Raccoon River Park.

Nights in the Heights 

July 3; 6 to 9:30 p.m.

Enjoy live music from Abby Normal followed by the City of Windsor Heights sponsored fireworks.
