Immerse Yourself in Nature: Grow Wild 2023
Tag a butterfly. See a raptor up close. Study pond ecosystems. Learn about water conservation. Hike through a prairie. This year at Grow Wild you can celebrate the natural world in all its fascinating, beautiful wildness. Hosted on September 16 at Jester Park Nature Center, Grow Wild features more than 30 hands-on activities. New this year are more than 20 educational programs in our indoor and outdoor nature classrooms. Learning about the earth sciences has never been more fun and engaging.
Get your tickets now at GrowWildIowa.com. Thanks to the many great sponsors, admission this year is reduced to $5 per person. Prices increase by $2 at the gate. Children two and younger are free.
In addition to the many science-related activities you can also explore the connection between nature and the arts at Grow Wild. Ignite your creativity with nature-inspired crafts. Get a glitter tattoo of a butterfly or other native creature. You can even dance to live music on the Nature Center patio.
And don’t forget to snag a free s’more before you burn off all your energy paddling, climbing the bouldering wall, taking aim on the archery range, or playing one of the many yard games!
