Des Moines Parent FXB Challenge: Week Seven

DISCLOSURE: THIS BLOG SERIES IS SPONSORED BY FARRELL’S EXTREME BODYSHAPING, BUT ALL THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS ARE MY OWN. THIS POST MAY ALSO CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS.

Highlights for this week:

  • A lot of eating out this week.
  • Increased band colors!

NUTRITION

This week was an incredibly busy week for us. New car, meetings, and just life. We ended up eating out quite a bit, but I am pretty proud of how well I did. I ordered salads or mainly protein. Chicken sandwich? No bun. Large salad? Dressing on the side, no croutons and add some protein on top. I made sure to stay on top of my water and continued to eat every 2-3 hours.

I felt a bit of growth. I didn’t just say “screw it” at the end of the day when we were at a restaurant. I made sure to pick out the best options for myself and still enjoyed it!

One favorite product we did use this week was a HOPE Hummus. These products are so versatile. Not only are they great to dip your fresh, cut veggies in, but I can also add them to my toast with eggs. This week I spread the Jalapeno Cilantro hummus to chicken breasts and topped with cheese. It’s a great way to add some flavor!

FITNESS

I seriously LOVE my workouts every morning. I love walking out of Farrell’s each day at 6:15 a.m. and know that my workout is done for the day. I now automatically wake up about 4:30 – 4:45 in the morning. Yes, it sometimes is still hard to roll out of bed, but I feel so much better afterwards and it’s so worth it!

Band days are becoming more fun for me. I am definitely working on pushing myself and increasing my band colors. I love how strong I feel when I get my muscles working and the soreness the day after, is GREAT! It’s a good sore 🙂 I know those muscles are breaking down and re-building.
