It had been awhile since we were able to make it out to the Blank Park Zoo, but we finally did! I had been wanting to visit for awhile because I had been hearing great things about the Curious George Exhibit!
The Curious George Exhibit – Let’s Get Curious came to Blank Park Zoo on May 21st, so there may be plenty of you who have already checked it out. If you have not checked it out yet, I highly recommend it! It will be there until September 11th.
The exhibit is up in the building between the rhinos and carousel. Although the building is not air conditioned, it is a great place to go, cool off and get out of the sun. They also offer some fun activities outside of the building such as ride-on toys and a sand/dirt table to dig and create.
The exhibit includes a lot of hands-on activities for your children to learn, use their imaginations all with a classic friend in mind.
You can create your own windsock
Play in a construction site and help move building materials around
Dig and play in their large natural play area full of logs, sand, sticks and rocks
You can play in the Curious George produce stand where not only do you shop, but you can sort, weigh and count produce
Pretend to be a zookeeper and veterinarian!
Play CRAZY golf!
Help Curious George wash the windows
Each day there is a character meet & greet at 11:30 am, 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm. They also offer story time at 11 am & 2 pm daily! If you are interested in hosting a birthday party, contact the zoo to rent from 9:30 am to 11:00 am daily!
