Classic Christmas Movies: A Family Tradition

I have a list of Christmas movies and shows that I watch every year around Christmas time.  Some of these I have been watching ever since I was a little kid.  It’s fun to be able to share this tradition with my kiddos now and watch Christmas classics like Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the old cartoon version).  I own a few of these on DVD, but there is not need to spend money on them when you have a plan and a DVR.  You can check out a great Holiday TV guide here, and ABC Family always has their 25 Days of Christmas you can check out as well.  So plan ahead and set your DVR now.

Here are some classics you can share with your kids:

1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

2. Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer

3. Frosty the Snowman

4. A Charlie Brown Christmas

5. A Chipmunk Christmas

Here are some newer options that my kids love that I would also recommend:

1. A Wowiebozowee Christmas

2. Curious George, A Very Monkey Christmas

3. VeggieTales: St. Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving

4. Buck Denver Asks…Why do we call it Christmas

5. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey Saves Santa
