Central Iowa Fireworks July 2014 Schedule


Fireworks season is right around the corner.  Plan ahead and you can see multiple fireworks displays this year.  This kids will love it. Just make sure to practice and teach your kids fireworks safety!


Adventureland Park:  Adventureland will have fireworks for park guests on both July 4th and July 5th at approximately 9:45 p.m., weather permitting.

Prairie Meadows:Fireworks Spectacular follows live racing on July 3rd

Fireworks July 4th 10 pm at North Park, parade at 9:30 am, events and activities Noon-10pm at North Park including free pony rides, games, bounce houses, kick ball games, bags tournament and live music.


Clive’s 12th annual “Thunder Over Clive” as part of the 2014 Clive Festival.  Saturday, July 19th at 9:30pm.  For more info click here.

Des Moines

Des Moines Symphony’s 21st Annual Yankee Doodle Pops on July 3 at the Iowa State Capitol, music starts 8:30 p.m.  Click here for more info.


July 5 fireworks at 10 p.m.


Party Before the Works – Thursday, July 3 starts at 7 p.m., Fourth of July Parade starts at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 4 and fireworks display will begin at dusk on July 4.

Fireworks July 4th at dusk at Centennial Park. The 4th of July parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. and wind through Waukee. It will end at Centennial Park where inflatables, food vendors and live music by the band.  For more info click here.

West Des Moines

Raccoon River Park: Fireworks on July 4 at 9:45 PM

Jordan Creek Town Center:  You’re invited to celebrate the Live At The Creek Summer Concert Series Kickoff at Jordan Creek Town Center presented by ARAG. The festivities will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29th when Decoy takes the stage in the Jordan Creek amphitheater. Experience lakeside dining at one of the restaurants on the lake, Kettle Korn from Pop Pops Kettle Korn and a beer & wine garden provided by Wine Experience. Please note that the beer & wine garden is cash only. Following the FREE concert, everyone is invited to stay for FIREWORKS which will begin at dusk.

Windsor Heights

Fireworks July 4 at 10 pm at Colby Park. Parade from 1-2:30 pm, festivities begin at 5pm at Colby Park — there is something for everyone with live music, creative workshops, face painting, games, inflatable rides, indoor bingo, food vendors, cool drinks, and much more! This year’s party will have some new surprises and will end with a bang, featuring a spectacular fireworks display at 10pm!
