Babies and toddlers get messy all of the time! Whether it is at dinner time, eating their favorite food or when they are creating special masterpieces, we can all agree messy time, is all the time.

The kids and I created some super cute, fun and messy turkeys. Perfect for Thanksgiving all you need is …

First, with a pencil or lightly with a pen, you will want to outline the body of the turkey. Then paint this portion for your child. If your child is older, go ahead and keep it white and have them paint it in!

After you have created the body, tape off some sort of a “circle” shape around the body, like shown below. This was your children will paint in that area and when you remove the paint, you can noticeably tell it’s a turkey!

Then let your kiddos get to town! Let them use whatever colors and brushes they would like and create their own little turkeys. Trust me, it WILL be messy 🙂

Did you know that science has confirmed that when children are getting messy, whether it’s with food, dirt or paint it helps soothe, calm and relax them? I know I can get pretty stressed out when my children are creating messes, but we should all lay back and relax while our children, create and get messy.

After creating our canvas turkeys, I knew that clean-up was going to be super simple. I took their clothes off and threw them into the washer with Dreft. Knowing that I have Dreft available, relieves that stress because I know it will tackle all of those crazy stains!

Some fun facts about Dreft:
